Crypto Payment & Custody Integration

Connect the exact asset, network and provider arrangement your operation has chosen. Keep custody, confirmation and game-currency accounting explicit.

Define assets, networks and custody before development

A token name alone is not a complete payment specification. The supported network, address format, provider account, minimum amount and any required reference fields must be understood. The cashier should present only the routes actually supported for the operator and explain the information the player needs to complete the payment.

We identify who controls funds and signing authority, which actions require operator approval and what the provider exposes through its API. A hosted payment gateway, an external custody arrangement and a self-managed wallet have different responsibilities. The proposal names the chosen boundary rather than implying all three are included.

The service, clearly defined

What does crypto payment and custody integration connect?

Crypto payment integration connects a platform to an external service that receives, sends or safeguards digital assets under an agreed contract. It does not mean the gaming wallet itself runs on-chain. The implementation defines supported assets and networks, confirmation rules, conversion treatment, custody boundaries and auditable account entries.

Crypto deposit states, confirmation policy and reconciliation

The integration maps provider callbacks and payment records to internal transaction states. Pending confirmations, expired payment requests, insufficient amounts and conversion differences need explicit treatment. A player balance is updated according to the agreed financial rule and trustworthy provider evidence, not simply because a transaction hash was entered.

Where the provider converts assets into a settlement or game currency, we preserve the quoted amounts, rates and available fee references needed for review. Callback authentication, duplicate detection and controlled retries protect the ledger. Reconciliation joins the provider record, platform transaction and account entry so finance can investigate discrepancies.

The payment contract also defines address or memo/tag handling, request expiry, under/overpayment, late arrival, precision and settlement-currency rounding. Confirmation policy belongs to the chosen provider/network arrangement; a displayed hash or observed block count is not a universal credit rule. Reorganizations, changed provider outcomes and adjustments follow the supported investigation process. Quote identity, expiry, conversion, fees and gross/net amounts are preserved where exposed so the provider record, internal payment and ledger can be reconciled without silently treating their different statuses as equivalent.

Crypto withdrawal approval, uncertain submission and custody handover

A withdrawal flow can include balance checks, account restrictions, destination validation, approval and provider submission. We define which states are reversible and how an uncertain provider response is investigated. Retrying an unresolved withdrawal without the provider-approved procedure can create a second transfer, so recovery is treated as a financial control.

Acceptance tests use the provider’s supported sandbox or test environment and agreed scenarios for callbacks, expired requests, asset/network mismatches and delayed transfers. Production credentials, permissions and monitoring are reviewed separately. The handover explains how support and finance locate records without exposing signing secrets or unnecessary personal information.

The withdrawal design separates platform approval, provider acceptance, signing/broadcast and network/settlement observations. Stable request and provider references support lookup before retrying an unknown outcome. Destination/network checks, thresholds, key access and any dual approval follow the selected architecture and operator policy. Takeover confirms provider account approval, API/webhook versions, permissions, fee and limit assumptions, available test cases and support escalation. A processor product or infrastructure module does not automatically grant casino merchant acceptance, custody authority or permission in every country.

Asset, network, custody and confirmation questions

Discuss your requirements
Does crypto integration mean anonymous player accounts?

No. Payment technology does not determine the operator’s identity or account requirements. We connect the payment flow to the verification, transaction review and account-control rules specified for the product and its operating arrangements.

Will player balances be held directly on a blockchain?

That is a separate architecture decision. Many implementations use an internal game-currency ledger and an external provider for asset transfers or custody. We document the balance authority and conversion treatment for the chosen model.

Can the same token be supported on several networks?

Only when the selected provider and scope support those routes. Each network can have different address, confirmation and operational requirements. The cashier and acceptance tests distinguish them rather than presenting a token label as a universal payment method.

How are missing or delayed crypto deposits investigated?

The support process links the payment request, provider record, available blockchain reference and wallet entry. Finance reviews confirmation state, asset/network choice, amount and conversion details using the provider’s supported investigation and reconciliation workflow.

What happens if a player sends the wrong asset or uses an unsupported network?

The payment must be investigated through the selected processor or custody provider before any platform credit is approved. We preserve the payment request, asset, network and available transaction reference, then route the case to the designated payment team. Recovery or a refund depends on the receiving infrastructure and provider procedure; the integration cannot promise that an unsupported transfer can be recovered. Cashier instructions, route validation and acceptance tests are designed to reduce these mistakes.

How are crypto confirmations, network changes and late payments handled?

We map the chosen provider’s supported status and confirmation policy for each asset/network route. The specification covers expiry, late or partial payments, wrong references and any changed outcome or reorganization the provider exposes. The cashier displays the supported route and appropriate pending state. Credit, adjustment, refund or recovery follows the approved financial process and authoritative provider evidence; no fixed number of confirmations is assumed safe for every network and provider.

How are crypto conversion fees and settlement amounts recorded?

Where conversion is used, the integration retains available quote/reference, rate, expiry, asset/network, precision, gross/net amount and fee details. The internal game-currency ledger has a declared balance authority and rounding rule. Finance reconciles provider records, payments and account entries, including adjustments or conversion differences. A payment fee, network charge and exchange spread can be different costs, so the proposal and reporting identify the provider fields actually available.

What affects crypto payment integration cost and go-live readiness?

The estimate depends on the selected processor/custody model, supported routes, cashier, deposit/withdrawal state mapping, conversion, review and reconciliation features. Provider onboarding, processing/network fees, custody and operating coverage are separate dependencies. Acceptance uses authorized sandbox cases and verifies callback authentication, duplicate handling, failed/unknown outcomes and controlled recovery. Handover includes configuration, references, secret/access ownership and runbooks. Merchant and market approval remain explicit prerequisites, rather than assumptions based on a token logo.

A controlled route to release

Define custody before translating chain events

  1. Agree the financial boundary

Confirm the chosen provider, custody arrangement, supported networks, game currency and approval responsibilities.

  2. Connect provider and platform

Implement authenticated payment events, account entries, conversion records and withdrawal controls against the actual specification.

  3. Validate the operating workflow

Test the supported exception cases and finance review process before enabling production permissions and monitoring.

Scope your crypto payment architecture

Share the assets and networks, custody model, conversion or settlement currency, and chosen provider's sandbox readiness. Add non-secret wallet/API specifications and name the withdrawal-approval owner so provider setup, ledger changes and transaction tests can be estimated separately.
