What does identity, age verification and AML integration cover?

KYC and AML integration connects verification or screening providers to a platform’s account and review processes. It maps provider statuses, reasons and subsequent updates into controlled actions, such as requesting information or restricting a feature. A technical connection supports the operator’s process; it does not independently certify legal compliance.

KYC and AML integration: check types, account states and review authority

A provider may return a pending, approved, rejected, incomplete or review-required result, depending on the configured product. We map those results to the platform’s account states and permitted actions. The design specifies what a player can do while checks are incomplete and how the interface explains the next step without exposing sensitive risk information.

Age checks, identity checks and transaction monitoring can have different evidence and timing requirements. We do not collapse them into one permanent verified flag. Your compliance stakeholders define the policy and decision authority; the implementation records the configured workflow, reviewer permissions and evidence needed to explain each status transition.

The vendor contract identifies the check product/version, account/applicant and case references, supported capture method and evidence returned. Identity, age, address, screening and transaction monitoring retain separate status and policy mappings. The player journey handles incomplete capture, unsupported documents, review and provider unavailability without displaying confidential match information. Language/document support and vendor claims are evaluated against the selected product and intended users, while the operator’s authorized stakeholders approve the actual account and payment consequences.

  • Provider-to-account status mapping
  • Separate identity, age and monitoring decisions
  • Reviewer permissions and audit history

Verification webhooks, current-state recovery and protected records

Verification results can change after an initial decision. We implement the provider’s supported webhooks and current-status lookup so later review outcomes or missed events can be reconciled. Authentication, timestamps and duplicate handling matter: an old notification should not silently replace a newer account state.

Documents and personal data are handled according to the chosen architecture. Where a provider-hosted capture flow meets the product requirements, the platform can avoid collecting some document data directly. We still define what references and results are stored, who can view them and how support or privacy requests are routed.

Event delivery identity, case/applicant identity and the verification decision are kept distinct. An authenticated repeat is handled without another account effect; a late event cannot simply overwrite a newer decision. If ordering or outcome is uncertain, the integration uses the supplier’s supported current-status/history mechanism and records the unresolved state. Access, storage location, retention/deletion responsibilities, redaction and audit exports are agreed for result metadata as well as documents. Test and production capture/access are separated, with no real identity documents copied into fixtures.

  • Authenticated, ordered and repeat-safe event handling
  • Missed-event recovery and current-state checks
  • Data minimization and controlled access

Connect screening results to controlled review workflows

Where the selected provider contract includes sanctions or politically exposed person (PEP) screening, the integration scope identifies the supported checks, returned match information and review states. Your authorized compliance stakeholders define how those results affect account activity and who can resolve a potential match. The software preserves the provider reference, decision history and relevant permissions instead of treating every alert as the same final account outcome.

Ongoing screening and transaction-monitoring services can produce new results after onboarding. We define the supported event or review schedule, authenticated notifications, missed-event recovery and case routing with the chosen supplier. Acceptance uses approved sandbox cases to check changed results, duplicate alerts, unavailable services and the resulting restrictions across account and payment journeys.

  • Provider-supported sanctions and PEP screening result mapping
  • Permissioned case review and recorded decision history
  • Ongoing screening, monitoring updates and recovery scenarios

Your release package

Review states, screening contracts and restriction tests

  • Verification and screening workflow specification
  • Vendor SDK, API and webhook integration
  • Account restriction and review mapping
  • Role-based audit and investigation views
  • Sandbox acceptance and recovery evidence
  • Operational and data-handling documentation

Test restrictions, review and recovery end to end

Acceptance uses supplier-provided test identities or approved sandbox cases, rather than real player documents copied into development. Scenarios include incomplete capture, failed checks, manual review, changed outcomes and unavailable vendor responses. Each result is checked against registration, game access, payments and the administrative interface as applicable.

Operations staff receive runbooks for outstanding cases and vendor incidents. The production checklist covers credentials, webhook configuration, data permissions, retention settings and the escalation route for policy questions. A working widget is one checkpoint; the account and operational consequences must also be verified before release.

  • Sandbox review and restriction scenarios
  • Cross-product enforcement checks
  • Production data-access and escalation review

Connect verification results to controlled decisions

  1. Agree the reviewed workflow

Confirm the operator’s policies, vendor products, decision authority, account restrictions and data-handling responsibilities.

  2. Connect states and events

Implement capture, status mapping, notifications and recovery while exposing appropriate next actions to players and reviewers.

  3. Validate controlled operation

Test incomplete, rejected, changed and unavailable outcomes across the affected account journeys before production activation.

Verification events, account states and AML review questions

Discuss your requirements
Will an approved identity check unlock every feature automatically?

Only if that is the reviewed policy for the product. Identity, age, account risk and payment review can impose different controls. We map each requirement to the relevant platform action rather than relying on one unrestricted verified flag.

What happens if the vendor changes an earlier verification result?

The integration processes the supported follow-up event or current-state check and applies the configured account workflow. Audit history preserves the change, while designated reviewers handle the operational decision according to the operator’s policy.

Do you store identity documents on our platform?

That depends on the chosen capture and review architecture. We assess provider-hosted workflows, stored references and access needs first, then document any data that must be retained by the platform and who may access it.

Does the integration make the business legally compliant?

The integration implements specified technical workflows and produces supporting records. Legal interpretation, operating policies and compliance decisions remain with the operator and its qualified advisers or designated service providers.

Can you integrate identity, age, sanctions and ongoing screening separately?

Yes, where the chosen supplier products and account architecture support the required checks. We inventory each check, timing, status/reason contract and permitted platform action instead of using one permanent verified flag. A potential sanctions or PEP match enters the approved reviewer workflow; it is not automatically the same as a rejected identity. Later monitoring outcomes, restrictions and operational escalation are tested with supplier-approved cases and defined decision ownership.

How do you test failed capture, changed results and missed KYC webhooks?

We use authorized supplier test identities or sandbox cases for incomplete capture, review, rejection, changed outcomes and outages. Tests correlate applicant/case/event references, authentication, duplicates, ordering and current-status lookup. Registration, game access, payments and staff views are checked against the approved policy. A captured document or delivery receipt alone does not establish a final account decision. Provider limitations and production-only behavior remain documented gaps until separately verified.

What determines KYC and AML integration cost and operational handover?

Scope depends on selected products, capture surfaces, providers, account-policy mappings, ongoing screening, case tools and data handling. Vendor checks/subscriptions, manual review staffing, policy work and migrations are separate items where required. Handover retains configuration, API/webhook versions, supported status mappings, access/retention ownership, test evidence and incident/review runbooks. It identifies who resolves matches and approves account actions. Technical connection does not independently certify legal compliance or approve every customer.
