Request state
Record the player’s permitted request and relevant account checks.
Design money movement as an explainable sequence of records, responses and controlled corrections.
Define your wallet contract
iGaming wallet development creates the internal financial records and rules for player balances, while cashier development presents permitted deposit and withdrawal actions. Payment providers move or process funds under separate agreements. The platform must reconcile those external events with game, betting and bonus transactions through a defined ledger and state model.
The selected ledger model determines permitted transitions between these states.
The specification identifies balance types, currencies, precision, reservations and permitted adjustments. Transactions need immutable references and a clear relationship to their business event, such as a deposit or settled bet. We separate available funds from pending or reserved amounts so the player interface and operator reports use consistent definitions.
Concurrent requests must follow the same posting and balance-availability rules. A game debit, withdrawal request and staff-approved correction can arrive close together; they must not each spend the same available funds. The design specifies how a posting and its related state are committed, how conflicting requests are resolved, and how a timeout is investigated using its original reference. Tests compare the resulting entries, reservations and reported balances after simultaneous requests and recovery.
A payment request, processor confirmation and bank settlement can be different events. Games and sportsbooks also send callbacks with their own references and retries. We design validation, duplicate handling, exception queues and recovery behavior so repeated or delayed notifications do not create repeated credits or unexplained debits.
A browser return or success message is not sufficient evidence for a wallet credit. The cashier maps the provider-authoritative response to a clear pending, confirmed, rejected or reversed state. Routing and retry rules must distinguish a confirmed decline from an unknown outcome before another request is attempted. Card collection, token storage and authentication challenges remain within the agreed processor or hosted-field boundary, with the platform retaining only the permitted references.
Currencies and balance types need an agreed precision and rounding policy throughout the transaction path. A provider amount, an internal ledger entry and a displayed balance must remain reconcilable even when their presentation differs. Where conversion is used, the source amount, target amount, rate and applicable time are recorded according to the approved accounting model.
Corrections should reference the original financial event and preserve its history. Reporting cutoffs and time zones also matter when provider statements and the platform close periods differently. We document these rules and test boundary values, small amounts, reversals and period-crossing events, reducing the chance that a dashboard total appears correct while the underlying reconciliation remains unexplained.
Reconciliation compares the internal ledger with payment providers, game or betting records and the reports used by finance. We define timing differences, missing events and permitted correction paths. Withdrawals and sensitive changes receive the appropriate permissions and approvals, with acceptance tests that prove reports remain explainable after corrections.
A usable cashier needs reliable financial records as well as a clear player interface. Define each commissioned layer and identify which payment services remain with contracted providers.
| Workstream | Project scope | Dependencies to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Wallet and ledger | Develop agreed balances, transaction rules, adjustments and financial history. | Accounting definitions, currency precision and balance authority. |
| Player cashier | Build deposit/withdrawal status, method selection and exception communication. | Approved payment methods, account restrictions and review policies. |
| Payment adapters and finance | Connect callbacks, reconciliation reports and staff review workflows. | Provider specifications, sandbox access and finance approval rights. |
Agree balance types, currency precision, posting rules and the provider events that can affect money. Map the complete deposit, withdrawal, game and correction lifecycle before implementation.
Implement the selected wallet and payment interfaces with controlled retries, pending states and approval actions. Preserve immutable identifiers across asynchronous provider and account events.
Test duplicate notifications, reversals, cutoffs and interrupted journeys. Compare account balances with provider records and operator reports, then document exception review and support lookup.
Record the player’s permitted request and relevant account checks.
Define the evidence, staff permissions and approval responsibility.
Present the returned state and reconciliation reference without inventing a payout time.
No. The software can integrate approved processors or other financial providers, but merchant onboarding, provider contracts and processing permissions are separate dependencies. We identify them in the delivery plan.
The design ties external notifications and internal commands to unique references and controlled state changes. Tests replay notifications, reorder events and introduce conflicts to verify the ledger and exception behavior.
Yes, if the selected products and operating model support it. Reservations, bonus restrictions, provider debits, settlements and corrections need a shared specification and reconciliation tests across the complete journey.
Any permitted adjustment should use a controlled workflow with appropriate authorization, reason, financial records and audit evidence. Direct, unexplained balance edits should not be the operational correction mechanism.
The scope defines denomination, precision, custody or processing responsibility, conversion rules and reconciliation separately. A digital-asset transaction and an internal wagering balance are not assumed to be the same record.
The ledger specification identifies the gross amount, fee, net amount, currency and responsible posting event for each supported payment route. A conversion also records the source amount, target amount, rate and applicable time under the agreed accounting model. Reconciliation tests include rounding, fee reversals, partial refunds and differences between provider settlement and player-facing amounts.
Agree the posting, reservation and available-balance rules before implementing the wallet. Conflicting requests must be evaluated against the authoritative state so two operations cannot both use the same available funds. Acceptance tests combine concurrent debits, withdrawals, settlement credits and supported reversals, including timeouts and repeated messages. The test evidence compares posting references, available and reserved amounts, and the final account history; it does not rely on the displayed balance alone.
The original payment remains identifiable independently of the browser session. A return URL, closed window or missing redirect does not determine whether funds were processed. We use the provider-supported callback or status check to resolve the authoritative outcome, keep an unknown request visibly pending and reconcile any later confirmation. Retrying a payment follows the provider contract and an explicit outcome decision, rather than creating a new credit whenever the player returns.
The selected payment integration determines the collection and tokenization boundary. Hosted checkout or hosted fields can keep raw card entry within the processor service while the application uses permitted tokens and transaction references. We scope what the platform stores, logs and displays, and test redirects, authentication challenges and session recovery. The exact security and payment-card obligations require assessment of the actual integration; using a hosted component does not by itself prove the whole platform compliant.
Estimate the ledger and posting model, supported balance types and currencies, payment routes, cashier journeys, review permissions, reconciliation and migration separately. Concurrency, reversals, authentication redirects and provider failure scenarios affect the acceptance work. Processor onboarding, merchant contracts, fees, hosting and ongoing operating services remain separate dependencies or cost items. Milestones follow a reconciled end-to-end payment journey and its recovery tests before adding further routes or currencies.
A seamless-wallet integration lets providers request authorized balance, debit and credit operations from the operator wallet. A transfer model moves an agreed amount into a provider-side wallet and reconciles transfers and the remaining balance. A single wallet describes the player experience and can sit above different connection models. The brief identifies the actual provider contract, balance authority, transaction references, available and reserved funds, timeout recovery and return-of-funds behavior before choosing an adapter. Shared wallet technology and cross-brand permission to move funds are scoped separately.
Bring the account and currency model, balance authority, payment providers and deposit or withdrawal workflows. We will map ledger postings, authorization, retries, reconciliation and operator review into a testable wallet and cashier scope.
