Lottery, Bingo & Keno Software Development
Build the chosen draw, room or number-selection experience around clear entries, result sources and reviewable claims.
Define your number-game format
What does lottery, bingo and keno software manage?
Lottery, bingo and keno software manages the relevant game or draw lifecycle together with entries, player accounts, balances and reporting. These formats are not interchangeable: a bingo room, an original lottery draw and a lottery-outcome betting product have different technology and operating requirements. The project begins by identifying the precise model.
Every accepted entry
needs a traceable lifecycle.
- 01Accept
Entry or card identity and approved rules.
- 02Close
Sales cutoff or room/event transition.
- 03Resolve
Authoritative outcome and result version.
- 04Review
Prize calculation, claim and financial history.
Lottery, bingo, keno and instant-game workflows
Select the actual product: draw-ticket sales, a bingo room, keno entries or an instant game. Each needs its own entry or card identity, approved rules, state transitions and result source. Physical draw equipment, an original software outcome engine and an external result feed are separate choices, with named approval and recovery responsibilities.
The acceptance contract defines the authoritative clock and timezone, sales cutoff and order of entry and payment acceptance. After an uncertain submission, look up the original request before creating another entry. Cancellation and result-revision rules preserve the accepted ticket or card reference and its financial history.
- Conditional draw-ticket, bingo-room, keno or instant-game scope
- Format-specific entry/card, game-state and outcome requirements
- Ticket or card identifiers and acceptance timestamps
- Draw schedules, cutoffs and cancellation workflows
- Authoritative result source and correction process
Define each draw, room and instant-game workstream.
The product brief selects the rules and channels to implement. Shared accounts or reporting do not make lottery, bingo and keno interchangeable game engines.
| Workstream | Project scope | Dependencies to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Draw and entry products | Scope ticket/entry sales, draw schedules, result imports and prize claims. | Approved rules, authoritative results and sales-channel interfaces. |
| Bingo or keno formats | Define room or event behavior, number selection and payout calculations. | A format-specific rules specification and selected engine/provider. |
| Digital and retail channels | Connect account, terminal, reporting and reconciliation workflows. | Hardware, provider access and channel-specific operating controls. |
Review a claim
against its original context.
Make prize calculation and claims reviewable
Fixed prizes, pooled prizes, jackpots and number-game payouts create different obligations. The implementation records how eligibility, prize calculations and financial postings are determined. Claim and review tools should expose the relevant ticket, game configuration and result version so an operator can explain an outcome without manually reconstructing the draw.
- Prize model and settlement specification
- Claim, review and exception handling
- Result-version and payout audit trail
Support the channels the product actually needs
A digital launch may retain an existing central lottery system or connect retail and online sales. We assess the integration boundaries, shared account requirements and reporting needed for each channel. Bingo room presence, card presentation and session management are specified separately from ticket sales, with accessibility and mobile readability tested for the chosen format.
For a retail connection, the central system owns the agreed ticket status across sale, reprint, cancellation and claim. Reprinting a receipt must not sell another entry, and a claim accepted through one channel must be visible before another channel pays it again. Offline sales, cash reconciliation, terminal provisioning and retailer permissions are included only when specified; a web platform does not automatically supply those retail capabilities.
- Central-system and provider interface assessment
- Retail, web and mobile journey design
- Product-specific lobby and operator reporting
Draw, ticket and claims deliverables
- Product format and draw lifecycle brief
- Entry, ticket and result data model
- Prize, payout and claims specification
- Provider or central-system integration plan
- Draw, cancellation and settlement acceptance tests
- Operations and audit documentation
Turn the game format into a verifiable release
Choose the actual number-game workflow
Define draw tickets, bingo rooms, keno selections or instant-game scope separately. Confirm sales cutoffs, outcome authority, prize rules and the channels the product will use.
Connect entries to outcomes and claims
Implement the selected purchase, draw or room lifecycle and prize calculation. Record the account, provider and operator actions that can change an entry or claim state.
Reconcile prizes and channel exceptions
Test interrupted sales, result corrections, duplicate claims and reporting cutoffs. Hand over rule versions and investigation records for the particular game formats commissioned.
Draws, bingo rooms, keno and result questions
Discuss your requirementsIs lottery software the same as lottery betting software?
No. Selling entries in an original or authorized draw and accepting bets on an external result are different product models. The provider, settlement, financial and operating requirements must be assessed separately.
Can you retain an existing central lottery system?
Yes, where supported interfaces and permissions allow it. We map the authority for tickets, results, balances and reporting, then design a digital layer or agreed module around those retained responsibilities.
How are draw cancellations handled?
The approved rules define whether entries are refunded, transferred or otherwise resolved. We implement those states and test the financial postings, player messaging, report corrections and operator permissions.
Can bingo and keno use the same platform wallet?
They can share a platform account and wallet when the product and provider interfaces support it. Each game still needs its own round, entry and payout logic, plus reconciliation and exception handling.
How do you specify a bingo room rather than a lottery ticket screen?
The chosen bingo format defines card or ticket generation, number range, calls, winning patterns, room and session timing, and claim validation. We agree whether marking and claims are automatic or player initiated, and how simultaneous wins, disconnects and prize sharing are resolved. The server record is reconciled with the player card and operator result view. Supporting one agreed format does not imply every 75-ball, 90-ball or other variant is included.
What must be defined for a keno product?
A keno brief specifies the number range, permitted picks, draw timing, stake and payout table, prize limits and the version of the rules attached to each accepted entry. The result source and calculation must support reconstructing the matched numbers and payout. Rapid and scheduled draws, cancelled entries, result corrections and wallet reconciliation are tested for the selected product; a number-selection graphic alone is not a keno engine.
How do you prevent duplicate tickets or repeated prize claims?
Sales and claim operations use stable identifiers and controlled state transitions in the system that owns them. After an uncertain purchase, the integration looks up the original acceptance before issuing another ticket. A claim checks the applicable ticket, result version, eligibility and previous payment state. Reprints, cross-channel claims, duplicate events and permitted corrections are exercised together with financial reporting and staff permissions.
What affects cost and independent testing for number-game software?
The scope identifies the selected lottery, bingo, keno or instant-game formats; original game logic versus provider integration; central-system access; retail channels; prize model; and operator tools. Custom outcome generation, draw hardware, video production and independent laboratory or authority review have separate requirements and owners. Delivery evidence covers accepted entries, cutoffs, results, prize calculations, corrections, claims and reconciliation, plus mobile accessibility and the agreed load and recovery scenarios. No supplier certificate or software engagement automatically approves an operator or every game format.
